Basil Billingsly, Editor-in-Chief Basil has lived in the greater Austin area for roughly 142 years, prior to which he was a cannoneer with the Confederate Army. Derfel “Smiley” McKagan, Public Relations Derfel is a real-life example of perseverance. Struck by a bus at the fragile age of 12, Derfel lost partial control of his facial muscles, along with many of his motor skills. Fortunately, Derfel’s permanent smile has made him well suited for a career in public relations. Derfel handles all PR activities for the Austin Probe, and also makes the coffee most days. |

Roger “Hawkeye” Harrelson, Copy Editor Roger is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the highest optical power of any human. Fittingly, he is the copy editor for the Austin Probe. He takes his job seriously and has vowed to give himself 15 lashes for every typo on the website. So if you find a typo, send it to us and we will post the lashing videos on YouTube. |

Biff “Boo Boo” Bryerson, Just Some Guy We’re not really sure what Biff does for the Austin Probe. He shows up every day like clockwork and stares at the walls most of the day. But frankly, he scares the bejeezus out of us so we have no plans to fire him, or to ask what he’s doing here. |
